Supplier Quality Assurance Senior/Staff Engineers (2 positions)
a. Position based in Kuching, Malaysia
b. Reports to: OOOOO Global Supplier Quality Manager
c. Minimum 5-10 years’ relevant experience in wafer fab or Assembly
d. Supplier Management expertise
e. Automotive industry expertise
f. 6 sigmas green belt or black belt is a major advantage.
g. Nationality preference is Malaysian who can speak Chinese
h. Fluent in English & Chinese
i. Willing to travel (30-50%)
j. Induction in Europe, +/- 1 month
k. Budget: RM8,000-RM16,000/month depending on experience & level of position
[Position Summary/Objective]:
Ensure continuous improvement at OOOOO’ suppliers in terms of quality and costs and adherence to OOOOO requirements.
[Responsibilities]
•Accountable for global process and/or project and its local implementation according to OOOOO corporate EPMO standards and procedures.
•Provide, in collaboration with OOOOO Develop, up-to-date transparency on complete supplier landscape and make business recommendations ensuring optimal fit, between
o OOOOO’ mid and long term needs and supplier option, in terms of technology portfolio, capabilities and performances
o Manage (plan, organize, lead and control), in alignment with OOOOO development team, new supplier & technology release considering OOOOO requirements and business needs.
•Drive/challenge suppliers’ capabilities and/or performances improvement programs related to quality, technical, supply chain (e.g. business continuation) and business (e.g. fulfilment of business requirements, costs) aspects; and resulting in improved effectiveness (no re-occurrence) and return-on-investment; by challenging and partnering up with suppliers.
•Drive complex solution finding covering technical, quality, supply chain and costs aspects; by bridging with other functions. And ensure deployment of lesson learnt.
•Manage customer audit at supplier premises in accordance with OOOOO process.
•Coach SQA team members related to technical and business competencies enhancement.
[Requirements]
•Master or Bachelor’s Degree in Microelectronics/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in Wafer fab and/or Assembly technology and/or subcontracting environment.
•Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in supplier management.
•Experienced in working in multi-national and cross functional teams
•Proficient in English & Mandarin communication.
•Excellent leadership, team work, project management, problem solving, customer-orientation & independent.
•Willing to travel (around 30%-50%).
•Malaysia citizen.
[Technical Competencies]
•Thorough knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing technologies and related processes, specifically related to wafer fab, Assembly etc.
•Thorough knowledge of process control techniques, yield- and process improvement techniques
•Lean/6Sigmas Green/Black Belt
•Thorough knowledge of management systems: knowledge of ISO9001, TS16949 and ISO14001. Able to steer suppliers in the continuous improvement projects
•Thorough knowledge of audit techniques
•Financial acumen
•Ability to work with multi-national suppliers, customers and cross functional teams
